BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The kick-off event for the 10X fundraising campaign to benefit Latino Indiana University students will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Skyline Club, 1 American Square, in Indianapolis.

Attendees are invited to stay after the reception for a viewing party of the IU vs. Purdue basketball game, which tips off at 7 p.m. A cash bar and appetizers will be available, and parking will be free for guests. The event is hosted by the IU Latino Alumni Association.

The 10X Campaign aims to increase the level of alumni engagement by 10-fold to add to the scholarship fund for Latino students. After the initial event, additional networking receptions will be scheduled throughout Indiana to encourage participation in the campaign. The goal is to raise awareness for student scholarships while hearing life-impacting testimonials from students who have received scholarships.

"This is an opportunity for all of us to make a difference in a student's life and to bolster the scholarship fund of the IULAA," said Clarence Boone Jr., associate director of alumni communities for the IU Alumni Association.

The IU Latino Alumni Association is an affiliate group of the IU Alumni Association. The IU Alumni Association is a global alumni organization that brings more than 650,000 IU graduates together to support one another and Indiana University throughout their lives. The IUAA activates IU’s powerful network through live events, webinars, scholarship programs and meaningful traditions.
